LLM (large language model)
The engine behind modern AI text work: models trained on language that can read, write and reason.
A large language model is a neural network trained on vast text corpora that predicts and generates language. Models like GPT and Claude power assistants, agents, drafting tools and summarization. They are components, not products: an LLM has no access to your business facts until retrieval or integrations provide them, and outputs need guardrails and evaluation to be production-grade.

Your support assistant answering 'where is my order' is an LLM querying your order system and narrating the result: the model is the language engine, your systems are the truth.
